Bowie is still waiting to get out of kennels and into a home, but in the meantime, volunteer Bedelia has taken him to the vet to get a check up.
We were told Bowie was returned from his adoption trial because of back pain and his reaction to the pain and/or vet staff. Bedelia has been touching his back and cuddling him with no issue, though we still wanted to get it looked at. And as you can see, with the right approach, Bowie can handle a consult 🥰
The vet gave him some anti-inflammatories and noted some minor muscle wastage on his right side, but nothing major and he can bear weight on it. Could be a bit of arthritis or a strain that has caused some sensitivity, but otherwise he’s looking pretty good.
Of course we’ll continue to keep an eye on it, but we don’t see this holding Bowie back from finding a home. With Bowie, it’s all about trust. Don’t rush things. And if all else fails- dye your hair blonde, cut some bangs, and sing him some classic tunes!
We’re sure he will be much more comfortable in the warmth of a home this Winter, so let’s get him out of the cold ASAP. Click here now if you can foster (or foster with a view to adopt) 👉 https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-dog/search-now/view/55684
And if you don’t have a home for Bowie, please SHARE! Every share helps 🫶
